Awards Schedule
Awards will be presented on race day at the following times
9:00 am - 10km
10:00 am - Half Marathon
11:00 am - 5km
11:30 am - marathon
12:00 am - racer of the day and colouring contest
PRIZE MONEY AWARDS
- $18,000 will be distributed to the top 5 runners overall in each
event (marathon, half marathon, 10k) in the male and female category and the top male and female in
the masters division (marathon, half marathon, 10k).
- Prize money awards are equal for men and women.
- Prize money distribution is based upon gun time results for overall and masters division.
- A review of the results will occur prior to the awards ceremony and prize money disbursements.
- Decisions of the race referee and jury of appeal are final and cannot be contested.
- The awards ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Millieum Park. Award
winners are requested to be present to receive their awards.
Introducing Canadian Only Prize Money
The HSBC Calgary marathon is pleased to offer Canadian only prize money in addition to our regular prize money for the 2009 race. Canadian prize money will be allocated as follows:1st place: $500.00
2nd place: $300.00
3rd place: $200.00
This prize money goes to the top three Canadian men and women in the 10km, ½ marathon and full marathon regardless of overall placing. Proof of Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status is necessary to qualify for these prizes. A top three Canadian athlete who also places top five overall is eligible to receive both the Canadian prize and the overall prize.

Masters division competitors are defined as 40 years old and older.
All Marathon finishers will receive a medal as they cross the finish
line. In addition to this, a certificate of completion will be e-mailed
to you.

Fastest male (40+) and female (40+) master: $300
First
three male and female runners in the following age categories: 19 &

Alberta Jeep Dealers' Half Marathon
All Half Marathon finishers will receive a medal as they cross the finish line.

TIMBITS Marathon
All TIMBITS Marathon finishers will receive a medal as they cross the finish line. In addition to this, a certificate will be available to download on-line.
All 5K finishers will receive a medal as they cross the finish line.
